What's the best way to book?

In the first instance call us on Ph: 94333356 to check the availability and get a quotation or fill out our online enquiry form. Once availability and price are confirmed a booking form needs to be completed. We have an online booking form or a pdf version that can be faxed or posted. We will reply to all enquiries within twelve hours but usually within one.

How far in advance should I book?

The most popular limousines book up quickly for special events such as weddings and school balls. We currently take bookings for weddings up to two years in advance. As soon as you book your ceremony and venue you should book the wedding car, especially if you want a specific limo type or classic car. School ball limousines are very popular and often there are lots of balls on the same evening with not enough limousines to go around. You should book the limousine as soon as possible after the ball date is announced to avoid disappointment. For social charters, hens party's and concerts a couple of months is ideal if you want a specific time.

What deposit is required?

So Cal Limos only take a $200 deposit for any booking. The balance is payable four weeks prior to the event. For bookings within this time frame, full payment is required. We accept Eft, Amex, Visa, Mastercard, Cash, Paypal and Cabcharge. The majority of limousine companies charge a lot more for a deposit, up to $800.

Can I hold a booking for a couple of days before paying the deposit?

At So Cal Limos we try and be as flexible as possible for a number of reasons. We understand there are occasions such as school balls and hen party's where time is needed to collect the deposit from all your friends so we give some leeway to collect the money. You may also hold a car for a couple of days to view what you are booking, which we recommend at So Cal. We hear some horror stories about the quality of some limousines turning up for your special occasion. Better safe than sorry! Unlike some companies who can pressurize people into making a booking and taking a non-refundable deposit, we believe in doing things differently.

What does it cost to hire a limousine?

The limousine industry is a competitive place. There are part time operators who have no staff and overheads, they store the limo in the back yard. They can charge less than professional companies with showrooms and full time chauffeurs.  Our brand new Mercedes-Benz limousine costs from $390 per hour, a Chrysler limousine costs $250 - $390 depending on the season and whether it's a brand new Chrysler. The Hummer costs from $395 - $595. The price at the lower end would be for the small Hummers in Perth which are five feet shorter than a super stretch. The top end price would be for the Hummers with the jet doors. There are also companies out there who offer 50% off and Chrysler limousines for under $200. I would be wary of anyone offering a service too cheap, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is!!

Is my booking secure once I've paid the deposit?

Yes, at So Cal Limos we guarantee your booking once the deposit is paid and the balance is paid by the due date. We will not call you and say we have double booked or someone has extended their booking. This happens with some companies who sell the limo at cheap prices, get a better offer and cancel the cheap booking. So Cal Limos would never do this.

Can we book a limousine for one hour?

Yes. You can book a limousine for one hour except during peak weekend afternoons when the limousines are in high demand for weddings. There is usually a minimum three to four hour hire time. School balls can only be booked for return journeys during peak periods.

Can the three hour or four hour wedding hire times be split?

The hire is for a continuous time only. We cannot stop the clock while you are getting married and come back a couple of hours later to bring you to the photo locations and reception venue. We can arrange a separate late night transfer for the bride and groom and wedding guests.

Can I have more than one pick up address?

Yes. You can have as many pick up addresses as required within your booking time unless a direct transfer is booked. Remember, multiple pick ups will usually take longer than planned and your time in the limo will be wasted doing pick ups instead of enjoying the sights of the City. We recommend one pick up address so everyone gets to enjoy the limousine.

When does the booking time start?

The time starts from the pick up time booked from the first location. We do not charge for getting to your pick up address. This is all included in the price quoted.

What if I need more time in the limousine than booked?

If possible we can do extra time which is charged at the rates in our terms and conditions. Most of the time it is not possible because we have another booking to get to. Remember, you would not like it if we turned up late for your special occasion. We recommend discussing the schedule with your wedding photographer before you confirm timings for the limousine and always allow a few minutes more rather than trying to rush your special photos.

Can we drink in the limousines?

The limousines and classic wedding cars come stocked with complimentary soft drinks, bottled water and a bottle of champagne. You are welcome to bring along additional alcohol. We carry an esky in all the cars to keep the drinks chilled.

Is food allowed in the cars?

Food is not permitted in any of the cars. We can carry your wrapped food in the trunk if needed and you can eat it outside the car at a suitable location if time permits.

Are the limousines licensed?

So Cal Limos fleet of limousines and classic cars are fully insured and undergo an annual inspection from the Department of Transport who license the vehicles as SCV's or small charter vehicles. You will see this written on our number plates which are green on white. Do not hire a limousine or classic car which does not have an SCV plate in the Perth Metro Region. We have a $10,000,000 public insurance, are members of the Motor Trade Association of Western Australia, Perth Convention Bureau and Australian Bridal Industry Association.

Do the cars come with a driver or can we drive a classic car ourselves?

All our cars and limousines come with a fully trained chauffeur who will be immaculately presented with a business suit, black shoes, white shirt and company tie. A chauffeur hat and gloves can be worn, if requested. We have a no smoking policy for our drivers. Unfortunately are cars are not insured for self drive.
